Yes, the Airbnb experience is a chance to generate extra income, but it is certainly more. Their own trip down memory lane led the owners to offer others the opportunity to make memories for themselves. We care a lot about our neighbors right to the quiet enjoyment of their property,” shared Donald. Any more than that and we feel things could get too loud and crazy. The maximum number of guests we allow is 5. We can even set up a tent on the deck if requested. We have families of 4 and 5 stay often and they always have a blast. “We have tried to think of everything that a traveler might need when they stay here. There is a three season TV room in a screened area for families to watch movies when they’re not playing in the arcade or in the saltwater pool. They provide clean bed linens, towels, snacks, drinks, premium television in the tiny house including Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney +, and local channels. The 134 square feet space includes a bathroom. We have air hockey, pinball, sitdown driving, football toss, shuffleboard bowling, shooters, old school classics, trivia games, claw machines and lots of unique neon signs and funky art.”Īs for the “BnB” part of Oasis Arcade, it is a Tiny House nestled in the trees near the pool, patio, and main house. We now have 23 pinball games and 20 arcade games ranging in age from 1974 (Gottlieb Sky Jump) to 2020 (Stern Jurassic Park LE) and, of course, Star Castle. He played for hours and when he came out he said, ‘That’s the best thing EVER!’ That got me thinking, if THAT is ‘the best thing ever,’ we could fill the place with games and maybe blow people's minds! And that's exactly what we have been doing over the last 3.5 years. At the time we had just 5 old games in the attached garage. I mentioned to our very first guest that we had a few games and he could play them if he liked. I didn't realize that many of our Airbnb guests enjoyed playing arcade games as much as we did. I enjoy meeting new people and this was a fun way to do that and to make some extra income. “We had the extra space and since we weren't using it we decided to rent it on Airbnb. “The Airbnb rental happened by chance,” said Donald. I may have taken a little liberty with that quote. From Soho down to Brighton, I must’ve played them all…” Well, not exactly. Donald shared, “Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball.
